I was just thinking about the SE and was wondering if the boat I plan to use will handle the Rainy. I have never been on the Rainy so I am not sure about the boat.

I am not too worried but don’t want to miss out on the fun!

Backtroller1 if you see this you know better than anyone what this boat can handle.

No problem for the Rainy. I will probably be running my 14 footer with a 25. You won’t be the only one out there in a small boat!

Your making the Sturgeon Excursion run this year Jon?

You should be fine with your boatd unless the wind picks up from the north or north west. 4-mile bay can kick up some good rollers, I’ve seen 2-4 footers while duck hunting in the fall. If that happens you can run further up the river and find plenty of other areas out of the waves.
