has anyone been to lotw lately ?

just wondering if anyone been up there and hows the fishing been ?

Just got back from LOW on Sunday, we (50 guys) stayed at Sportsmans Lodge. For the most part the fishing was not good, I had just four fish in two days with the largest being 18″. We had a contest between us and the greatest two day total inch catch was 219″. The winner was using a plain black hook as close to the bottom as he could get it. It seemed that nearly everything else was caught on gold jigs, 1/8 oz semed to work best. We did have one guy land a 7 lbs. walleye, it was suspended at about 20′, if he didn’t have a vexilar to use he would not have caught it. The deeper the water the better. A resort worker said it had been slow for the past four or five days.
