FYI……Fall Walleye fishing on Rainy River

    Hi Guys,

    Just to let you know….Our water temps are dropping rapidly with the temps at night. We are getting down into the low 40’s.

    What that means is the shiners are moving into the river and the Walleyes are right behind them.

    They are still doing well on the big lake downrigging and up by Garden and Knight Islands they are bait fishing on the rocks with much success.

    Reports on colors vary as they always do

    Hope to seee you up here soon. Right now we are offering $25 per person per night rates through November.

    Please let us know when they are in the river big time. I’m planning on making a trip up there late Oct. Thats seems to be a great time to hit the river by the windsock.

    Hi Cathy, I plan to stop by and say hi next week. I will be up fishing in the MTT championship to be held out of Border View. I’m disapointed that we’re not staying at you resort, but my tourney partner made the reservation many months ago planning this trip.

    We have people here already for the tourney next week. They don’t come to fish this early, just hang out. They are like members of the family.

    Next time you’ll have to stay with us.

    Hey Cathy, it was great meeting you this past week! Oh by the way……..my head is still hurting from the fun time we had at your place last night…..good food, friends and great band!! I would also like to thank Tom for taking the time to show Mike and I around acouple of your cabins!!

    You folks have a nice operation!! I would highly recomend the Wigwam to anyone!!!
