6-2 6-3 report

fished lotw on friday and sat.
the weather couldn’t have been nicer, on friday we started the day running up to sandy beach around 26 miles from the gap. the guy working at the log cabin bait store told us they were catching nicer fish up there. we drifted spinners in 14 to 9 fow. we caught a few around 19 inches nothing fast and furious. we then headded to long point. caught a few dinks. the next stop was the feilds. got a few 16 inchers. ended the day trolling #7 shads from morris point to the gap caught a bunch of walleyes and sauger. biggest of the day a 25 incher right at the gap.
on sat. we started out drifting spinners with minnows, leaches. jigs and minnows. caught a number of fish nothing over 14 inches. watched the launches throw about every fish over 9 inches in the box. what a waste started trolling around noon caught fish like crazey. for the day caught around 100 walleye and sauger 2 over 16 inches and another 6 or 7 over 14 inches. tried shallow and deep nothing helped. would like to know where all the nice fish are. guess i can’t we had a good time maybe it is time for a minnuim size limit just a thought.
