Took the kids ice fishing a ton this winter. They really seem to enjoy it and are getting quite good at it. Every year I make a trip to LOTW in January to chase walleyes. I usually go with the guys. However this year I made a deal with my kids that if my daughter (7) got good grades and my son (4) mastered the poop on the potty deal, I would take them on a big person fishing trip next winter. Well my daughters grades couldn’t have gotten any higher than they were, and my son is the master of the potty. Now the ball in in my court. I am thinking of Sportsman’s Lodge, because of the pool. Have any of you taken young kids up there in the winter. Obviously if the fish are on the bite they won’t get bored. Other than sportsman’s does anyone else have any ideas?
