Boarder permit and license?

What permits and license’s does a person need to fish the rainy river? Do you need a passport to fish the Canadian side? Any input on costs, where and how to obtain these?

Remote border crossing pass and an Ontario fishing liscense. They can be ordered through the mail. The border pass is around 35 bucks and the Ont lisence is different depeding on which you chose.

Just an FYI…. Nearly everyone just fishes the Mn side. I’ve never felt like I regretted not getting over to the Canada side, especially here in the late season before everything closes down.

Now, open water LOTW….that’s a different story.
