Fished out of Schusters Resort.
Shack 42 was setup in about 22′ of water.
Friday:
Our group caught around 30 walleye/sauger. 50% of the fish were between 13″-16″, others fish were smaller, no big fish. Action started about 9:00 that morning and went steady, till 11:30 and the start again about 3:00 until 5:00 or so when we left for ride back.
Saturday:
Same shack – fishing was slower with only about 15-20 or so total walleye / sauger and one nicer perch.
Lures:
1)Smaller gold spoon or pimple, with 1/2 or head of fathead minnow. 2) Green jig heads, tipped with fathead. 3) green/white/orange glow jig with fathead minnow.
Continuous jigging action seemed to help attract more fish. For me, about 50/50 on jigged gold spoon vs green/white/orange glow jig.
From what I was hearing others were having less luck than our group. It’s always hard to tell how others do, when your not real sure how hard they are fishing
I think the fishing is improving from what it has been.
Good Luck and Good Fishing
