FTR Visitor Pic – Trophy 12LB + Rainy R. walleye!

LundgEYE has shared some pretty good info on the Rainy with us and spoke of some pretty impressive catches in years past. All of those trophy fish had been released… all but one. This one! At 12 Lb 2ounces, she’s nothing short of a true pig! Awesome fish and thanks for sharing it with us.

who did the mount?

The fish was mounted by Lake of the Woods Taxidermy up near the resorts North of Baudette. Seems to me my buddy paid around $250 for it. (I got to hold it for a picture, I got to net it, it was my boat, and “he” landed the fish). Overall, was the biggest walleye he had ever caught. I’m hoping for a 13#er this year to beat him but it will go back and a plastic replica will grace my wall.
