Thanks to those of you who helped with info on my earlier post. I had a very successful trip.
Pete’s Pipestone Point was very nice. And the service was great!
The fishing was very awesome…lot’s of numbers. Most were 17 to 19. Only a few over 20. But at times the 17’s were coming so quickly that we didn’t have time to consider going hunting for hogs.
Northerns and smallies were included with the walleyes while using jigs or bottom bouncers.
Trolling deep diving raps threw 14 to 16 foot waters was very productive.
Most colors worked, but orange and blue were probably the best.

Gary…thanks for your help on the earlier post.
However, one of the guy’s in my group explained that you have no idea of what you are talking about. He also noted that you shoot trap like a little old lady.

    Hi Bradi!!!!!!

    I talked with Chuck today!!!!!!!!

He said the largest fish came off the bigger mud flats. You guys should have kept working them babies with bottom bouncers!!!!!!!

Sounds like you had alot of fish caught!!!!

The biggest thing I learned about that lake is that if you’re catching smaller fish in larger quantities, you need to move, for it is mostly a pod of males. Last year, we hit two different “pods” of post spawn males. We boated 100 walleyes in an afternoon, but nothing over 20″. Got to work the deeper humps and points that associate to the main lake for the bigger fish!!!

Yea, Keep up the smack on trap shooting!!! I’ll go toe-to-toe with anyone!!!

    We shoot 16 for trap.

Then we do the “Annie Oakie” at the 25 yard mark. Annie Oakie is a blast. Everyone lines up and throws a buck in the kitty. The pigeon is launched and the first guy shoots. If he misses, then the second guy can shoot. If the second guy hits the pigeon, the first guy is knocked out! Generally, 4 guys can get a shot at the pigeon, so to knock out 3 guys is common!!!!!! Basically, if you miss, you are generally out!!!!!

Last man standing gets half the pot!!!!

    Chuck,
I didn’t know you were “Bradi”!!!!!!
You should of told me earlier it was you, I could have given you more info!!!!!!!
