Water Level on the Rainy River June 15, 2014

    Hello Everyone,
    We thought you might like to see some pictures of our poor dock. The river is extremely high! Highway 11 in Loman, MN is closed and has been since yesterday due to water over the road. I have shared pictures from Facebook showing that. Keep all the towns affected by the flooding in your thoughts! Thank you so much -Grant and Alyse

    1st picture is from June 3 when the dock first went under the water. 2nd picture is the dock today showing that you can’t see some of the dock posts. 3rd picture is of the trees under water in Canada looking off our deck.

    To offer some perspective for those who are more familiar with the Mississippi, there’s more water right now in the Rainy River at the Manitou Rapids than there is in the Mississippi at Prescott, WI, according to the USGS site. Oh yea – and it’s rising.

    High water everywhere. So is the river up there still fishable at this point?
