How was the walleye bite this past weekend? We were supposed to fish the Rainy River Run Fri-Sun, but it was pushed off to next year. I am pretty bummed that it got delayed again. Just wondering if we missed out on much of a bite since the landings actually did open up just in time, so that we could have gone.

Didn’t miss anything except cold and wind. Caught 2 walleyes at Pelland.

Water got muddy on thurs and fri.

Did well Friday morning until about 2pm…then the water turned.

We fished south of Frontier, closer to the ice was better. Majority of fish caught were in 8-11ft. Sturgeon were on fire out there too.

Any predictions when the little fork will let loose? The guage height has been increasing steadily. At what level does it normally bust?

Hard to say. I bet it was 2 warm days from busting. Now this cold water may hold it off until next week, or later.

Haven’t been over the Littlefork or Bigfork for a couple weeks but crossed both yesterday at the Hwy 71 bridges and both were out although the Littlefork had a major ice dam at the bridge.
