    Hello all,
Me and some buddies are making our annual trip up to beautiful Sportsmans Lodge this upcoming weekend. I’m hearing good things about the fishing this year. I was just wondering about a few jig options that I’ve been pondering over. One of those situations is what color I should be using or what I should be using for my dead stick? I know pink, gold, and red are solid colors but I was wondering if anyone has any special suggestions of what I should put down. Another question I have is if the VMC tingler and Lindy Darter are things I should put on my list to bring up as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a ton and good fishing!

If you have em, bring em. Couldn’t hurt. Right?

Get frozen emerald shiners when you get up there. You can use them on your dead stick with a plain hook. Don’t overthink it up there. Spend more time with your line down the hole than out of the hole and you’ll be fine.

The lindy darter in fire tiger has been hot, also it seems to me that a white jigs works real well too.

“Suggestions?” is not a very good topic name. I suggest you describe your topic clearly. You might get more responses.

Stop in the local bait shops on the point and get what’s biting would be my suggestion. Always works for me. The last two times I have been the same lure was the hottest for me.

Frozen emerald shiner’s are definitely the way to go! More than once, I’ve seen them out fish the live one’s! On your deadstick, I would give rainbow chub’s a try. Awesome minnow that always stay’s lively. Great on a tip-up also. Although I personally have never caught anything on a Lindy Darter, they are fantastic fish attractor’s! While you have your Vex going, drop one down the hole and jig it vigorously a few time’s! Fish will show up like magic on your Vex! Good luck and I hope you guy’s have a ball! DIRTBALL2

Almost forgot-See Steve at Log Cabin Bait out on Wheeler’s Point for your frozen shiner’s He always has a good selection of nice sized one’s! Plus he can fill you in on what’s hot. He also has a hugeiferous selection of tackle!
