LOTW Sleepers

After a few trips to the walleye capitol of the world I have decided that I prefer to fish the reefs. Call us crazy, but we would just assume stay on the ice at night vs head all the way back to land. My dilemma is that it seems that most resorts do not offer sleeper shacks out that far. Anyone have a recommendation?

Thinking of early March time period, but would be open to suggestions there too. Thanks!

May ask if you could bring a cot to sleep on? I am not aware of any sleepers on the reefs. Call Sportsmans lodge as they have Oak Island. You might also try googling NW angle resorts and calling some of the NW angle resorts too.

If your thinking about the reefs to the east some years they don’t even get houses out there because of ice heaves or snow or melting conditions. And not even sure they pull sleeper houses out there as they usually haul people in and out daily with track rigs out there.

The prpblem with sleepers on the reefs is it would cost to have someone out there at night making sure you are alright. If the heat dies during the night at -10F; it’s a 20 plus mile run to get someone out there providing you are able to make contact with them.

It’s looking like an option, but we would need to head out of the Angle. Makes sense that it is just too far from Baudette/Waroad. Thanks for your replies!
