I left there this morning and must have missed you by only seconds at Birchdale. I saw that same guy on the bike.

Those people are nucking futs. Fishing was beyond slow for the rainy.

The air just fissed out of my proverbial bubble…..

Lots of new snow too, if it gets too cold, would think it would ice the ramps back up.

thanks for the video! Would not believe that many people without seeing it, thought of large walleyes is very enticing but that looks a little too nuts.

WOW! I was real close to going last Friday, glad i didn’t now. Always look forward to the Spring bite on the Rainy but this is just one of those years I don’t feel so bad about missing.

Bikes are a must…we take one with every year.

The video is curtsey of David Peterson, who lives up in that neck of the woods.
Fished Pool 4 today and crowds were not like the Rainy, but fishing was SLOW.
    Good luck all!

That video was shot on Saturday it looks like? You should have seen Friday!! Three hour wait to launch-woke up to 7 degree temps. Boats were frozen to trailers and there was only one ramp open on the river that morning!!

frontier ramp huge washout hole at end. Short line to get in. much quicker to go to birchdale to get out.

Fishing is slow for us. Still much better than sitting home.

Mike, we’re staying at my cabin on Wed. night and will fish the far east part of the Rainy TH morning. We’ll be up until Sunday and have a private cabin rented off of Wheeler’s Point Rd. How long are you up?
