I’ll be headed up to Morris Point on Thursday for a 4 day walleye/pike trip. Does anybody have a report for that area?

we just got back from LOW on thursday pm. 3 of us cleaned 21 fish (mostly saugers) and threw back 12 or more hog walleyes. we were out about 7mi from pine island(adriens road). Bite started at 7am,a few misc flurries during day and all done at dark of course. we had best success w/ rattle rigs, though we were constantly jigging w/ the usual suspects(stop signs, flyers, etc)which probably brought them in. thick ice, make sure you have auger extension. Good luck, have fun!!

Well.We just got back from Slims/ Shusters out of Wheelers point and 21 of us cleaned 36 fish 1 day and 40 the next. Can you say sloooooow? OMG I wanted to kill myself! I never caught one. Not the resorts fault either…..It’s just that slow. If I were you I’d cancel and go to pool 4! IMHO.

We just got back on Sunday and fished knight and bridges. You had to work for them but for the 3 days we were there we cleaned 51 fish amd had a couple throwbacks. It’s a slow year but if you get to the reefs and stay around 24′ you’ll catch fish. You just have to work at them.

    We also stayed at slims.
