I expect the private group detailing questions and answers for our April gatherings to be announced shortly. Look for your invite to this group. Since I don’t have everyones IDO handle please PM me with yours if you are part of this group.

I want to give you a jump start for those anglers wishing to fish the Canadian side of the Rainy River. You will need to obtain an RABC card as well as Canadian fishing license. This is not a must for the trip, but a must if your fishing Canada water.

Here is a link to apply online. Expect 3-4 week turn around or can apply in person at the border.

Remote Area Border Crossing Permits (RABC):
Customers that wish to fish Canadian waters will have to obtain a RABC from Canadian Custom prior to arrival. The turn around time for these permits is 3-4 weeks so please plan ahead by visiting: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/canpass/rabc-pfre/menu-eng.html.

Chris, any word if they are going to reopen the sturgeon fishing on the Canadian side this year? It makes a little bit more worth the effort and expense.

I have not heard of plans for this.

RABC cards are $30.00 and good for one year for your entire family.

    Application process is not difficult.
