Hi guys, it’s been awhile since I fished up there in late March. I understand that the weather plays a huge factor, but assuming the best, where is the best place to stay? Thanks for any input.

That time of year maybe Morris point. Or stay at one of the river resorts and drive to Morris point to access the other side of pine island.

My suggestion is to get me out of work and I’ll show ya’

Made my first trip up there in December. We stayed at Sportsman’s and they did a great job.

    Good luck

If you are bringing your own gear and fishing out of portables you may have to call around is there is still good ice. A lot of resorts only have cabins for groups that are doing a “package” with them. We usually stay at river bend that time of year but this year they are booked when we go so we are at shusters (slims)

If you are looking to do a package border view is the place to go. They do not charge extra to bring you out to the reefs like others do.

I’ve done the river thing several times, kinda wanted to avoid the launches and get on some ice. Morris Point might be the ticket. Thanks!
