Yesterday the wind moved the ice around on the main lake. There was some open water out over Pine Island. Today I went out to the main lake to see what happened. Out in front where we cross the island the ice looked good. The slabs of ice came together and overlaped. There was a little over 7 inches out in the lake. Over to the west by the pines there was still some open spots. The warm weather melted the snow patches in the bay witch is a good thing for making consistant ice. The bay had 3 to 7 inches but the 3 inch ice should make more fairly quick. We will keep checking it and let you know. The test will be to see if the lake holds for the south wind tommorow.
