    When do you think we will have the first ice to SAFELY fish on?

    WHEN THE LAKES FREEZE

    Sorry couldn’t help that.The nice part with first ice is,no matter what date it falls on it’s still first ice. HAPPY THANKSGIVING

    On a serious side the lake should start to freeze over with the colder weather this weekend, and if the winds can stay some what calm you could safely be fishing by first weekend in December. We have a cabin up there and are planning on heading up there that weekend.

    I saw someone posted a picture on HSO that zipple had 5 inches as of the 24th. I don’t know much more then that. It was just a pic of a block of ice with a tape up to it that was titled zippel bay. Either way I think its promising!
