Thinking about heading up fishing rainy river this week. I’m looking for a cheap room or cabin. I was thinking about putting in at birchdale or up by the little fork. Camping is a option if my step dad decides not to come.
Check with River Bend Resort or Adrian’s. Better yet might be Clemenston Resort.
Just curious; is there a good bite going in the river?
I’ve been hearing of some big sturgeon lately. No idea about eyes.
Lake Road Lodge $35 a head, but get lower for over 2 people. Great hospitality, simple and easy place to stay.
OOPS, I did not notice you were fishing that far up the river. Clementson for up the river. Otherwise Americ Inn if you want to run back to Baudette.
we pay around 4.5 bills for a week in a cabin at clementson. apparently they’ve redone most of the cabins as well!
i spoke with art a few days ago. most guys fishing for them are finding walleyes in the river. they are river fish though. a few slots but nothing big. he hadn’t seen but a few shiners in the river. its still early but with the next 5 days being way under normal (its 29 degrees there now) i think things will heat up quickly. we leave in 3 weeks.
The Royal Dutchman was reopened by a nice young couple. Their rates are reasonable. Stayed there this spring, and they were great to deal with. http://royaldutchman.com/Home.php
