Nice fish, sounds like a great trip. Looks like some big males were in the mix since some of them don’t appear to have a belly full of eggs.

Unreal 5 over 30″ & 100 fish days! Wow what was your secret?

Our best boat in our group had 63 total between 2 guys.

About the big males! I too was thinking the same thing!
The first day we were catching fish and thats all we could talk about! We have been fishing the Fox for years and I fish pool 4 alot! I have alot of 10+ walleyes under my belt!

One thing we found out is the fish on this river pales in comparison to Fox river and pool 4 pre spawn fish! as far as weight go’s! we kept a limit of 19″ fish and all were looking to be males! But guess what! every ohe of them were females! the other thing about them It didnt seem like the eggs were as far along as the should be! I dont know for sur maybe its the year! we did get a couple with some nice girth but nothing like what I have seen in the other locations.

as far as what we were doing is vertical jigging!~ started out with plastics and blades but it didnt work for us!

a real slow lift and drop and lift hold jiggle for about 4 seconds worked good!

larger minnows tipped on jigs! the 8 fish we kept were about the only fish we got under 20″ That is what made the trip so amazing!

    Good luck out there guys!
