We got on the water Thursday around noon and all 4 of us were first timers to the Rainy. The weather was PERFECT, 74 sunny and no wind. 2 boats landed well over 100 fish and had 5 over 25 inches the largest been a 28.75″ male(picture below). fished until 6:30 or so.

Friday morning came and I struggle to put my boat on fish, so we traded boat partners to change it up a bit. That’s when we saw the most amazing 90 minutes of fishing I’ve ever witnessed. when we pulled up to this spot we slam 10 fish in about 20 minutes and 3 being over the 24″ mark. largest being my buddies PB 28″. the amazing part came witnessing everyone slamming BIG FISH. 40 boats just pounding toad walleyes. LOW is in good shape!!

Saturday was a dramatic weather change. We boated fish but not near the numbers.

    2 boats, 4 guys, 180+ fish, 10 fish over 25″

And the best part…I put two of the guys on there PB walleye!!!!

I’ll be back (as Arnold would say).

We just vertical jigged for the most part. Couple fish were caught 3-way rigging, couple casting. Gold out produced any other color.

The sturgeon took about 20 minutes with 8lb line. Lots of them caught all over the river and lake.

Catching that sturgeon wasted 20mins of some valuable Walleye Fishing….

    Nice report, & Fish!
