This warm winter has me thinking about getting the boat out and early spring walleyes and sturgeon. Yesterdays high 40’s did not help the cause.

Anyway, with the mild winter I am begining to wonder when the river might open up to Birchdale, Frontier, Clemenston, Baudette and so on….

    Any predictions?

If the snow holds out it should be a great spring! But it wont take much to beat last years rainy river season!

Last year was a tough one, so it should be a better season no doubt.
I predict the 3rd week of march for 1st boats on Rainy, big boats via Birchdale last week of march.
