Yesterday, a buddy of mine took of from Flag Island – calm heading back to mainland USA – said halfway across the big bay – ran into the wind that we are now experiencing.
Said he has never been in bigger waves and more scared in his boat – 20 foot ranger walleye boat.
Must have been nasty.

That lake can get nasty! I was just up there for 7 days and for 2.5 of those days we couldn’t get on the lake. A few boats got caught out there on those windy days and had a battle to get back to shore. I have alot more respect for that lake now.

man did it blow and blow and blow some more! That lake is nothing to take lightly. I didnt care for it in the 2100 last tues. Sure wouldn’t have wanted to be in the 18′ shallow tin I seen next to me.
