    Is that a nice place? Is it about 1.5 miles from Jones Hall at the university?

    The most convenient place to stay when going to the U campus is the Radisson. It is right on the campus. It is expensive unless you have some discounts from work, AAA, etc. Walking distance to the entire campus and dorms and food/entertainment. We used to stay there very often when my daughter was younger and a competitive swimmer and when she was a student there.

    Maybe you know more than me, but Downtown is ok, I’m pretty cautious , but I’d be willing to give it a go.

    downtown, as long as you stay away from block E, is for the most part GTG.

    if the OP is licensed though, i still would be going heavy.

    The issue I have is needing a suite with a separate bedroom, with a door. The son sleeps on the hideabed in the sitting room. The Radisson has a suite with that kind of setup, but only in the “Presidenial Suite”. It was only $699 per night…
