    Hey guys,
Im looking to paint my aluminum canoe this year before duck season. What brand or type of paint do you use? I need something durable and strong so it doesnt scrape or rub off!
    Thanks for the help,
    Cody

All I can say is good luck. I painted mine a few years ago. I roughed up the alum, used an etching primer and the appropriate paint and it works pretty good. However there are spots that I have to touch up every year as it wears off or is scratched off.

    Duck Boat Paint

I used this product from Cabelas. I put it on my duck boat 3 yeas ago. I bang that baby against trees, scrape it up on the ice and it has never chipped or peeled. Way good stuff. I also recommend tuff coat non skid coating from cabelas to paint the floor. non-slip paint makes a heck of a difference. <—-also really strong paint.

Take a cue from Red Green, you can fix ten things in a day with duck tape. Try one of the new designer camo colors. Remember to tell your wife you’ll be right home after the meeting. We’re pulling fer ya, eh?
