It’s the top hit if you type “mattress’ into AMZ. Really has my interest, very good reviews from multiple view points (not just AMZ). I think I may need to go out and check this type of bed out in person now, CostCo has them too (and they have good steaks to boot!). Nick if you go this route, keep me posted please!

    Here’s the link http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Innovations-10-inch-Memory-Mattress/dp/B003CT37JM/ref=pd_sim_hg_1

My one concern with reading about foam mattresses is longevity, Now the Sleep innovations comes with a 10 year warranty, I suspect it’s similar to other mattresses’s warranty something like 1/2 inch sag is replacement.

For now we’re looking at changing up to a foam mattress, and seeing if we really like it, at first we kind of don’t, but I think we’ll get used to the difference and like it way better in the long run.

Thing to note is this one isn’t latex either unlike the speedier ones you see in the stores, I have’t actually done the research on that, but I’m pretty sure that equaltes to better quality and longevity, latex ones at HOM were given a 20 year warranty. For us it’s a matter if we really want to switch to a foam mattress, in which case we may opt at a later date to switch up to a much more expensive latex matteress. Then again we haven’t liked the feel of the latex ones as much at least at first, they always feel “softer”

    I’ll keep you posted

I think the Sleep Innovation one we liked at had more to them than that Nick. Seemed to remember it having a few different layer including a latex layer which might of been there cooling foam. One thing Ive heard about memory foam is that it sleeps warm. That worried me because I sleep very warm and didnt want to sweat all night. It sounded like the higher end model had additional layers or pads to address this.

Have you ever seen what memory foam does in cold weather? Leave a pillow out in freezing weather and I swear you could crack it in half.

It does sleep warm. Keep that in mind it’s not cotton Not saying it’s going to keep you up all night because you will be sweating but you will notice a difference right away.

Well we pulled the trigger… estimated ship is sometime next week.

I’ll post impressions once we get it setup.

I’m not too worried about it being hot at this point, we’ll see, I don’t mind a warm bed if the room is cool. Otherwise I think we’ll be able to get a mattress Cover to help keep the heat minimized.

We pull the trigger tonight, going to go with the night therapy foam one at Sam’s. They have the Sleep Innovations ones at Costco, we looked at all of them over the weekend. I decided on a local rather than shipped in hopes it will be easier to return if needed. The one at Sams was $450 out the door for queen. More later!

Cool, didn’t know you could find the sleep innovations locally I would’ve paid a little extra for that too.

How are you liking it so far? Hopefully ours comes UPS today, no one will be home but we left a note to leave it anyway. Put the bed together last night and I think we slept better without the boxspring already on the old mattress.
