So I was looking up anodes for salt water usage and there are 8 or 9 for my boat motor. If I’m going out to a sand bar in Islamorada, FL for a day on the weekends for 6 weeks thoroughly washing the boat down, do I really need them? The boat and motor will never see salt water again. Trolling motor is ok right?

You should put them on. BTW – Is your motor designed for saltwater? Putting the anodes on isn’t going to protect all the parts of your motor if the motor wasn’t designed for saltwater.

I’d say call a local Marine motor dealer down there and get their insight, I’m willing to bet they can direct you.
