Did you want the most comfortable, the only brand that will turn a person up right or something else?

Looking for comfort. I do not wear my life jacket like a should as I do not like the bulky ones.

This can be purchased as just the inflatable or with the outer shell that works very good as a wind breaker and rain jacket.
This will be my 4th year running them in my guide boat.
Even my FW said “If you have to wear a PFD, these are the way to go”…and wearing a PFD in my boat is madatory 99% of the time.
I all seriousness, it is the most comfortable life jacket I have ever had on. Fish a night with Mr. K and hardly knew the thing was on
I’ve got Float Techs, too. I’ve never worn any other inflatables, but I like what I’ve got. Makes my wife feel a lot better when I go out at night.

Is that why she was poking holes in it
I have a Cabelas brand self inflate. Not bad, but it has a really big “bag” behind the neck that always irritates me. It has been used (3) different time, but always was in the livewell in the rain I would not get one again.
IMHO if it is not comfortable enough that you forget it is there, you will not wear it and it does no good. Spend the cash and get one you will wear, and floattech would be high on my list.
Thanks for the info on Float Tech BK. Those really look like the way 1 should go.
Damn, thought I was almost done shopping, at least for awhile!

She didn’t poke any holes, but I should maybe check that the CO2 cartridges are unused!
Brian where are you buying Float Techs from and how do you size them? Warm weather I could use a large at the most, cold weather with all heavy cloths on XL to 2XL.

I just order them from the companies web site, but doing a google search they can be found for less.
It’s going to be tuff for the over the winter wear sizing.
I generally where the regular Type III in the winter because of the added insulation although they can be worn over jackets if they aren’t too bulky.
I have heard nothing but great reviews on the Mustang Hydrostatic. Anyone here using them?
I’ve had the Sterns vests for a while but these flo-techs look awesome. How much do those run and are they self inflating when you hit the water?
They can be set up as Manual, Auto and combo Man/Auto.
Retail on the jacket and PFD is $299.00
The vest alone is around $200.00
Google for the best deals…
Inflated on Left and normal wearing on the right.
I’ll have to check in with Deano…he’s pretty busy down there right now.
But here’s a deal that not even Dean can get!
Overton’s Close Out On FLOAT-TECH’s Olive Complete PFD<<<
Low Stock!!
Someone’s going to get a few at this NUTZ shipping included price!
Two things I won’t feel comfortable not pointing out.
1. As with all Type V PFD’s, they must be worn to be legal.
2. As with all Type V PFD’s, the wearer must be over 16 years old.
Float-Tech® seamlessly integrates a comfortable all season jacket with a fully-functional inflatable life jacket. A removable liner auto-inflates upon submersion in water, while manual inflation can be made by a pull of a lanyard or oral inflation. Reliable auto inflation occurs within 3-5 seconds with 32 lbs. of maximum buoyancy. The device is also convertible to “Manual Only”, allowing you to deactivate the auto-inflation feature. The jacket is waterproof and breathable and features zip-off sleeves. Comes complete with two manual inflation backups, a hidden brimmed hood, adjustable side release buckles, 3M Scotchliteâ„¢ Reflective Fabric throughout, noncorrosive vislon zippers, and an adjustable shock cord. Compatible with single and dual D-ring harnesses by means of integral harness access points. Lightweight comfort ensures that it will not weigh down on your neck, shoulders, and back. Versatile design allows you to wear the inflatable PFD liner separately, as well as with the jacket, with or without sleeves. USCG approved as Type V with Type III performance.
Word on the street is the Large sizes are now sold out. Only the 2XL left.
