Most of the time I fish I am lucky to get an arc.

The sonar techs at MarCum have played with this and found you can achieve a fairly impressive level of accuracy on some species.

James, that’s BK’s bottom dwelling catfish though.

NO rumor! Last year for the walleye opener, my wife and I actually went with “Mr. Catfish” and low and behold, my wife caught a 7 1/2 pound walleye! My wife was a little leery about going catfisihng on the opener and not being on Mille Lacs, but Brain’s good ole walleye guide instincts made Maura happy with that fat eye!
Thanks Brian for a great Walleye trip…

I saw a side scan picture of a school of channel cats one time and you could tell plain as day they were cats by the unique dorsal fin. If that ever comes to pass it has to be made illegal as a form of cheating.

Wasnt it bottomline 8-10 years ago that had the species select finder? Which was acquired by Johnson Controls. Will we possibly see another technology lawsuit debacle ie Hummingbird – Lowrance.

    Any specific species James?

I don’t think this is that far out from reality. I mean, Look at the past 20 years, I’d bet that my kids will know what kind of fish they’re over. Personally I think we will look back at a time when there was a big red blob and laugh at that. Remember what the football players looked like on TecmoBowl? Just sayin’
