I am looking to buy a 2-bank on-board marine battery charger for my Skeeter. Have a Minn Kota 2 bank on-board marine battery charger now. One of the bank chargers has died, so I can only charge 1 battery. Charger is 7-8 yrs old. Need to replace. Any suggestions on what brand? Cabela’s? Another Minn Kota? I realize most brands have only a 2 year warranty. What have you guys used with success?
    Thanks, Jerry

I would think if you got 7-8 years out of the Minnkota your doing good. I dont think I would be looking for a different brand.

You are sure the bank is dead? I know some chargers will not charge a dead battery, it’s possible if your charger is that way, your battery is dead and you need to hook it up to a regular charger to bring it up before the onboard will charge it.

    Just in case

Link to JollyAnn Marine Minkota 2 bank 10 amp @ $129.00

I’m running the 3 bank 10 amp for at least 5 years and am very happy with it. If it died today, I would get another from the guy with free shipping and no sales tax outside of IA.

I was gonna say that but I sound like a broken record when I talk about the screamin’ deal I got from Wade on my trolling motor and charger You can’t beat it (AS LONG AS YOU DON’T LIVE IN IOWA… BUT WHO WOULD MAKE THAT MISTAKE )

Free shipping and no tax is hard to beat.

I have heard nothing but good about Jolly marine.

How could one go wrong ?

    Thanks guys
I just ordered a Minn Kota MK-210D for $109.99, no sales tax and a 3 year warranty. Only differance between the MK-210 & MK-220 is 10 amps total output vrs. 20 amps total output,10-12 hours recovery time verus 4-6 hours recovery time and $109.99 versus $179.99. No brainer. Thanks again guys. What a site.(IDO). What other site on the net can you get so much help from so many knowlegeable fisher people. Thanks again ALL

Good to see the resounding recommendations for Minn-Kota.

I just bought a Minn-Kota 330D 3 bank so this is a bit reassuring in my choice.

I just installed a MK110D and will see how it goes. If my 3 bank goes out (now on it’s 8th year) I was thinking about a MK 330D.

Save your reciept, Minn kota may have a rebate… I went with the 210 last year, Charged my old batteries no problem. remember to use as short a lead as possible for better results.

I’ve never had any experience with Minn Kota chargers, but I will be the oddball here. I’ve been very pleased with the Dual Pro in my boat.

just bought a 220d from jollyAnn. there is a rebate too. so no tax, no shipping, and a rebate = no brainer. had a cabelas one and it crapped out on me after 2 years. It will charge my batteries in full in less than 5 hours.

Guest model 2611 I have one that is 18 years old that still working great, and I got 13 years out of another one.

I just replaced mine with a Guest 36202 with an alternator DC charger. My outboard puts out enough amps to run it, so I went upper end on a replacement. (BTW, got it through Wade at Jolly Ann and he had it out to me within a few days )
