Catch a preview of the 2011 Twinks when they play Baltimore tonight at 6:30 on FSN.

I absolutely guarantee they will win more games then the Vikings, Wolves, Wild, Gophers Big 10 men’s hoops combined!Might even toss in Gopher men’s hockey.

This will be the last year for you Kubel and Cuddyer haters.

Can they repeat as Central division champions in 2011?

If the Twins can get and stay healthy, they have a good chance of winning the division again.

it will be an interesting season.

Hows your Viking stadium proposal for Hudson coming along?

Hudson can’t afford another stadium. We’re still helping to pay off…………..Miller Park.

Sounds like the Twins are loaded this year on the Offensive side. I’d like to see a trade deadline deal for a stud pitcher to handle the game 1’s of the playoffs!

    Funny you should mention that!

Because of somethings going on in the MN and WI capitals, I had to file a WI and a MN State tax form (again) this year. One of the 5 or 6 check offs asked if I wanted to donate to the Packer Stadium fund or was it the Miller Park fund?

    I about died!

What’s it going to look like when I add the Vikings Stadium Fund??

    Awe Shoot…you sucked me in.

Have a particular pitcher in mind? I would have zero objections to dumping Liriano, Young & Slowey in the right deal. Question is for who?

I sure hope the 2 kids can handle short stop and second base. Think Valencia is the real deal?

I think the 2nd baseman is the real deal. He doesn’t even have to be the next Ichiro, just solid, and I feel confident he will be.

The interesting part of SS if you’re not in love with Casilla is the hitting of Luke Hughes. If he can prove to catch the ball consistently, those two could platoon. Not sure yet about Valencia but it’s sure nice to have someone listed at 3B in ink for a change. Hopefully no sophomore slump!

The pitcher will surface around trade time from a team not in the running. Can’t predict who that might be. Rumor is that Slowey may be gone by opening day for a long reliever.

Packaging either Young or Kubel, and the infamous, player to be named later for that ace pitcher I’d be all in favor of.

My fear is they aren’t leading the division at the trade deadline. I think they need to add pitching early in the season this year.

If Detroit gets off to a good start…………
If Peavy starts 25 games for the Sox………..

The division could be a tough one this year.

If the Twins could get a good relief pitcher like Tom back in ’85, there would be much more interest in the game.

The Twins will have a tougher division to play in this season.

I have no concerns with the fielding or hitting.

I do have some concerns with a few players health and of cousre the pitching.

We need a stud starter at a minimum.

I see ol Wally the beer man was found not guilty.

Hey Mr Hoffies, I thought you were a great baseball mind. I can’t believe you don’t remember a Minnesota Twin with an illustrious 5 week career like Tom Klawitter.

I had my Sister in laws brother who played for the Twins minor leaque system until he threw his arm out.

I would have been great but Calvin would not pay me enough.

Brian I apologize. If I remember correctly the Twins were winning about 70 games a year back then. Honestly I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to them. I will say anybody who can make it to the MLB even for a short time is a good player. Lots of levels of ball to beat people out to keep advancing!

Did he play for Kelly or Miller?

When one looks at all the great ball players in HS and at the college level, only the very best get that shot to the big leaques.

It is a very small percentage that do get the chance and one has to be better than good. Then, only a few make it from there.

Did he play for Tom Kelly or Ray Miller as manager?

Well, ’85 was before Kelly….and that’s as serious as I get when it comes to sports.
