i hope the weather man was on drugs, they said the upper half of minn. was going to get a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow. that is all we need along with the rain and melting snow. i think were really in for it here in ia. along the river.

It’s gonna take years like this and several of them to get all the lakes back up everywhere including the Great Lakes.

I feel for all of you that have to clean up the snow. I believe we are getting all rain and maybe a little slop tomorrow.

When will it ever end this year?

New update for the cities (from Dave Dahl):

    Quote:

    Now
This could turn from wet to wild later tonight. We’ve already had over half an inch of rain in many areas, and now we could get several inches of snow by Wednesday afternoon. Snow is already falling over northern parts of the state, with the cold air sagging southward, our rain should be changing over to snow later tonight. The potential is still there for up to 10 inches of snow in central Minnesota, with 6 to 10 inches possible in the north metro with 3 to 5 inches possible in the south metro. The change-over time will ultimately determine how much snow we end up with and right now it looks as though we’ll change over to mainly snow just after midnight. Temperatures will remain below average through the end of the week with highs expected to stay in the 30’s even through the weekend.

The weatherman was just talking about a tornado watch for extreme southern mn and north iowa this evening along with nasty thunderstorms.I would take the snow if given a chance.

This morning at about 4 we had a nice mix on rain, sleet and snow all at the same time. The sleet was large ice pellets that quickly covered the road. It then switch to rain and rained pretty hard for most of the day. Now we have 30-40 mph winds and very icy roads. Snow will just be the icing on the cake.
