New update for the cities (from Dave Dahl):

Now
This could turn from wet to wild later tonight. We’ve already had over half an inch of rain in many areas, and now we could get several inches of snow by Wednesday afternoon. Snow is already falling over northern parts of the state, with the cold air sagging southward, our rain should be changing over to snow later tonight. The potential is still there for up to 10 inches of snow in central Minnesota, with 6 to 10 inches possible in the north metro with 3 to 5 inches possible in the south metro. The change-over time will ultimately determine how much snow we end up with and right now it looks as though we’ll change over to mainly snow just after midnight. Temperatures will remain below average through the end of the week with highs expected to stay in the 30’s even through the weekend.
