I sure do appreciate the friendships that have been built here at IDO. Besides just an awesome group of people with the same interests, its always been great to see the out pour of caring when things don’t go as we hope in life.
My Mother goes in for by-pass this Friday. Her Aorta has major blockage, and a lessor degree of blockage in a valve in her heart. They’ll be injecting her heart to clear as much as they can.
June will make about 18 years since they found her cancer, and said she would be with us maybe 3 to 5 years. Tough old woman at 74, and still a dear friend to me. Never once said no to letting me and a buddy or two throw our stuff in the car, and she would run us down to south pier to fish all day..or running me stuff to drink/eat when I fished for 10 or 12 straight days/nights off of there. When people said old dogs can’t learn new tricks, she re-wrote the book.
I just sure would appreciate her kept in a few thoughts and prayers. I have a few more fishing trips planned for her, and she needs a few more trips out with her grand daughters! This is one of her favorite pictures of her Dad. She took the picture, but it was her fish on the ground in front of everyone. And some people wonder how I grew up to be such a fanatic….
Thanks
