Thanks for all of the support & help from some mighty fine folks here! We are doing what we can and should we need more help…a guy by the name of BK…said he is online every once in awhile and would post a “shout out” . Although this is a challenging situation, it could be much worse, especially when you think about how & what the poor folks in Japan are dealing with.

The fish will have a great spawn year and big fish are still showing themselves!

Some debris, not alot,is starting to float off the banks. Safety first everyone, now is the time to wear the life jackets!

Dean, I hope that the water doesn’t get too high up there. I look forward to seeing that you make it through the rough and get back to the normal. Anyone who would help a guy who lost his boat plug last weekend doesn’t deserve to have this happen to them 2 years in a row.

All ramps are open…but if you don’t believe me, give Dean a call! <KIDDING>

He’s still moving the things that can be move while the water is low like picnic tables, lp tanks and such.

If you haven’t caught any of the fishing reports, might want to take a looky see!

Heck that’s perfect pig fishing level!

BTW Who is in charge of sweeping the sand off the ramps today?

My plan was to be down there today but the dude who stored my boat did not get it out yet.

It was suppose to be out Monday.

I could have also swept the landing off for you BK. That off course would have been for a few eye tips on location.

Hows the forecast for an additional 6ft +/- going to affect you in the next week Dean? I see a garage that will be getting water, Will it get to the cabins?

What color blades are they biting on Brian?

Tom we should just go grab Brian boat for tomorrow to use. He will most likely be at work anyways. Then we can get all the prime walleye spots off his GPS.

Brian’s spot would all have flathead locations and they are not biting yet.

But yes, we could go and get Dean’s locations. They would be surefire GPS eye spots.

Curious to this as well. where was the stage at last year at the spring crest? At what stage can we no longer access teh river at Everts? I plan on fishing when it crests according to the lastest forecast, does that seem pointless? I assume it will just put the current seems in different spots.

Last year it was just over 681 if I recall…and I was out fishing and snapping pictures.

You’ll always be able to launch at Everts…just might be in the parking lot and not on the ramps.

This might be a good time to post Steve Plantz in “how to load a boat in high water” video.

“I plan on fishing when it crests according to the latest forecast,”
I just checked and at 8:00am this morning there is no crest forecast for up there. Still showing a slow rise at the end of the forecast period.

Posted by NOAA yesterday March 23rd.

    THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR
THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER MISSING RED WING L/D 3.
    * AT 8:00 PM WEDNESDAY THE STAGE WAS 675.2 FEET.
    * MODERATE FLOODING IS FORECAST.
    * FLOOD STAGE IS 680.5 FEET.
    * FORECAST…RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE BY MONDAY EVENING AND CONTINUE TO
RISE TO NEAR 681.5 FEET BY WEDNESDAY EVENING. ADDITIONAL RISES ARE
    POSSIBLE THEREAFTER.
    * FLOOD HISTORY…THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS CREST OF 680.1
    FEET ON MAR 25 2010.

    Question?

What happens if the river floods and no one comes?
