    From Dean:

First off, I would like to thank everyone that has called or sent messages asking if they could help during Mother Natures tantrum, the thoughts are very very much appreciated!

Since it’s kind of crazy down here right now, I’ve asked BK to post this for me to let everyone know where we are at today.

The water is rising and the fish are biting with reports of some dandy saugars and walleye coming in. (Read the posts in the Mississippi River Forum and the Reports Forum for more information) The fishing is great as normal for this time of year and getting better.

    Helping with the rising water.

We have moved all the campers to high ground along with other things that are movable like the ice machine ect. We’ll have some time before we know if the bait shop will need to be emptied or the beds and appliances need to me moved from the cabins.

It’s difficult to keep up on the posts, emails and PM’s inquiring about helping out. If and when this does happen, there will be a post on IDO explaining what and when help is needed. It’s very likely to be a short notice because the predictions are ever changing.

In the mean time, the ramps are open, we have all your bait and tackle needs covered as always. Stop on in and we’ll give you the up to the minute bite conditions and pointers.

Again, your out pouring of support is very moving!

    Sincerely,

    Dean at Everts

Really things are looking good. The Everts crew has things under control as of now and Dean has a good game plan so things will be

You all need to get out and enjoy some fishin while the ramps are open and things aren’t under water

Dean’s got a whole bunch of rods and other gear that need homes. Go buy some stuff so he doesn’t have to move it if the water comes up.

Looking around the north metro a lot of the snow is gone and the creeks are only running about half full. Throw in some cooler weather later this week and Im starting to wonder if the river will get as high as predicted. All it will take is a good rain storm to send the river back up again. Hopefully that will hold off for a while and let some of the current run off get down river.

Thanks for the update from down there Brian and Dean.

Our thoughts are with you Dean. Jane and I are going through the same thing in the Quad City area in Illinois. Keep the faith. My hair will be all white instead of red after the water goes up and down. Raised the house after the 1993 flood and thought we had it whipped. Now it could be close. Jane and I will see you at saugerama……Bruce
