Columbia River Walleye Info

I have an opportunity to spend some time out west in mid-April, and I am trying to figure out if I could spend a half or full day on the Columbia River. My specific location is flexible, provided I can keep the girlfriend interested. As for fishing, it would probably be just me, and I’m not interested in fishing a six person charter boat. Does anyone have a Columbia River walleye experience they can share, or maybe a guide recommendation? Just looking for a little friendly advice. Thanks!

Dan (or) is a great fella and can steer you in the right direction if your not in the area he guides in (Portland area).

There are some stretches of river I wouldn’t recommend going alone at least the first time.

Thanks, Brian. I may drop him a note. I’m pretty flexible on specific location, and my plan is simply to hire a guide for a half day if it works out. I definitely don’t plan to try it on my own (won’t be able to bring my boat or gear).
