    My female lab is Bella, My wife and kids think it is cute because it is like the Disney’s Belle and sounds good with Bella Dance Arella! It sounds better as Ca-bella

    I have many of Make and Female friend dogs that I have hunted with by the name of Dakhota, seems kind of universal!

    Since it’s a gun dog what better name than Josey. One of my favorite actors and one heck of a gun slinger outlaw Josey Wales.

    My wife’s current dogs name is Dee-O-Gee ( Dog ). My Golden retriever I had was named ReRun it always took her twice to learn something so the name stuck. Best hunting dog I ever had. Border collie was named Chase.

    I always said if I get another hunting dog I am going to name it Stupid since that is what I end up calling them most of the time anyway

    I have always thought a dogs name shoud be short, sweet, have one sylable or end in a “Y”, and not be at all close to any commands.

    Last dog was “Rock”, My Current dog is “Casey”. Remember you are going to call the dog about 800,000 times in it’s life. Keep it Simple
