Closed and he sold all his stuff. Well, he may have kept a jar or two of Sonny’s to take along on our trips this summer.

I stopped in there right before he closed and he said some people had expressed interest in taking the shop over, but they never came back to follow through.

He still comes online and if his wife isn’t keeping him busy with some chores, he might tell us where the bait tanks went for us Metro guys (and gals). I can probably actually dig it up too, but I think 2 hardware stores bought them.

Thought those bait tanks went over to Diamond Lake Hardware in S MPLS and put back into use.

Yes, that’s sounds familiar, but I think maybe some went to a Ace on Penn too?

Cool. Those stores work together somehow. Great little stores. I know the Diamond lake one was going to carry Bfishn tackle to.

One needs to support the small town bait shops as one seems to always recieve very good service and good fresh bait.

The tips on the area bite is also very nice.

Or you can ring a buzzer at Gander and wait 10 minutes for someone to come back and help you.

I love small bait shops, and besides from Bob being a friend, I miss being able to pop in when I need stuff.

I look forward to stopping at Jerry’s bait in Mora on the way to the cabin. I like the dogs too, except the one they always say doesn’t like being pet.

To bad about the store, the few times I dealt with Bob I have to say I hope all works out well for him, seemed like a really nice guy.

I used to think I was special because he would always greet me with, “How we doing today Mike”. Then I found out he says that to everyone.

Bob always geeted me by my IDO handle. Referred to others by theirs as well. Was a sad day when that shop closed down.

The two Ace stores have the tanks as stated above, and it works great for them and me when I can get out. In fact some of the workers there are IDO members (go figure) how we pop up all over the place.

As for the store it will soon be another Barber shop for those of us whom might be in need of a trim.

Pug, it is because you are a special person that makes you special. It is no wonder that Brian K calls you out all the time. If not the river, we will make sure to hit up Nokomis a few times this summer.

As for me, I am doing well thank you. Painting and cleaning the house, and trying to get a handle on this silicosis that has me tired out. I will see how next month goes, but for sure will have the boat out and about come the opener.

Yes. Maybe it was a tribute to me?

I have to be honest Bob. I never liked it when you introduced me as Pug to the other IDO members who would come in to the shop. I am beginning to think you liked to see me running for my life.

That is right Mike we did purchase 3 of his tank systems for a total of 10bays. We are currently running 4 bays, during the busy seasons we will be running all of them. It’s been great to meet Bobs old clients. We will be stocking BnFishN products this spring. Stop by and check us out. *Diamond Lake Hardware 54th and Nicollet, South MPLS 612 824-8813

We are considering it. But can’t promise it.
