Is it safe to go to Miami with my 16′ tiller on a roller trailer that far. I dont want any issues nor beat the crap out of trailer or boat. Any advice?
I don’t know why it would be any harder on it than doing 10 – 180 mile trips around home. I would make sure your bearings were recently packed and the lights were all gone through. Tire pressure is proper and you have a good spare. Throw in a small tool kit in case you have any issues along the way. Probably an extra chunk of wire or extension cord that could be used in a pinch. And have a jack along.
Not sure what your route you will be taking but make sure tow vehicle’s brakes are in good shape especially if you’re going thru Kentucky and Tennessee, especially if you go into Chattanooga. We went to Fla in Oct – not towing anything – and my Trailblazer gained speed going down some of these hills even in 3rd gear. Just a thought.
