    It’s 10:20 pm

I’ve never seen an eagle sleep before.

This morning there were over 55,000 viewers watching this cam. Through out the day I didn’t see any less than 5000.

There’s a light on the eagle for night viewing.

Pretty cool seeing these majestic birds in their home.

Michelle yelled my name, I thought she saw a mouse in the house or a hawk in the backyard. Nope, the first baby eagle was born this morning. Take a look before she sits on her.

Too late, shes back on top of them.

I’ve been watching on and off for a couple days now. Seeing that baby eagle this morning was pretty cool.

Looks like a few too many people found out one of the eggs hatched and the website crashed from too many viewers. The webcam is offline as is the chat box.

I’ve been watching for about two weeks now and of course I missed the little one this morning. Watched the replay of it though. Hopefully they will get it back up and running again. I can’t believe how it has gone from just a few thousand viewers to over 100 thousand at a time now.

Been watching since last Tues. Good Stuff. Nice to see a new chick this morning. Just checked it now and looks like mama got a fresh rabbit!! That should feed those chicks for 2 weeks.

Jon, they brought the rabbit in about 7 days ago. I think it has been tenderizing.

I notice a egg was picked so the next one should hatch shortly.

It maybe easier for the chicks to eat it as it will be tenderized.

We just popped it open here at 6:30 and I thought I saw a second chick? This is the first time we saw the rabbit, thanks for pointing out that it has been there for a week so I could relay that to Michelle.

I believe there is only one chick. One other egg has been pipped and should come out b4 morning.

I wonder what these eaglets due for moisture?

Yes, the rabbit was brought to the nest about 7 days ago and it has been lying on the edge of the nest by the sticks. For the last few days it was somewhat buried under the straw type nesting material.

The parents seem a bit neurotic about pushing and shuffling around the nest with their beaks, eh?

It looks to me like they may be shoring up the sides. They have done this a bit each day in the past 10 days but much more in the last 2-3 days right b4 the hatch starts.

Did anyone see the bear cam from last spring in northern MN. Cool seeing the cubs.

Looks like eaglet #2 is not ready yet to pop. Must be to cold and it does not want to come out.

Did you get to see momma eat a robin for breakfast? Baby wanted some, but momma knows it has to cook a little in her stomach first.

I am assuming it was a robin because the bird had a white ring around the eye. We caught it this morning when she was finishing up on it.

Ah, Michelle is on another page streaming the same feed. No matter, we just saw both of them live. Pretty funny watching the wobble in place.

Got to see both eaglets this morning too. Love that wobble in place also. The mother was feeding the rabbit to the older one too. Pretty cool to watch.

    Amazing!

120,000+ people watching them. One of the best uses of the internet I’ve seen.

Just a few short years ago, I’m sure only a handful of people would have ever seen something like this.

I happened to log back into the webcam just in time to see Mom feeding the oldest and I was able to snap this quick screen cap.

It’s hard to believe something that small and wobbly can survive. Amazing!

Talking about small, I use to raise and hatch ringneck and golden pheasants, bobwhite quail and turkeys.

When the bobwhite hatch, they are about the size of a thumb nail.

Never have I seen a chick so small. I can only imagine how small a hummingbird baby is.

I was always neat when 200-300 pheasnats chick would hatch over night as one could hear themj upstairs peeping away.

I had 5 incubators going and at times had 500-700 eggs going.
