Thanks for sharing dtro. Obviously that bridge and others like it are built to withstand this kind of stuff, but is there any point where the MNDOT will shut down bridges like that just in case they don’t, or have they ever historically?
Well most of the bridges around here are shut down by default as the nearby road approaches are flooded over. I think the bridge in Henderson takes the most beating. It’s one of the lowest and I’ve seen years where ice, trees, and water are crashing into the deck.
