Gmail is way better (although I still can’t convince my wife of that). And it is easy to set up so that Gmail retrieves your Hotmail, too, so you never have to open Hotmail again.
I use hotmail too. I would try sending the email from a different computer to see if the attachment problem is with your computer or your hotmail account.
I’ve seen several people pimping gmail over the last week claiming it is better than hotmail. I’m interested in hearing what specifically you like better.
My hotmail is slow and even locks up my work computer. I’m not sure if its a virus on my computer or actually something with hotmail. I know some of my coworkers use hotmail and do not have any problems at work.
I started using my gmail account for everything now. Its linked to my phone, so I receive emails just like text messages. I’m on google all day searching things for work, so in one click I can be into my gmail account as well.
1. Simple to use. 2. Fast response time 3. Spam and Virus protection is second to none 4. Large storage capacity(8Gb of data space I can currently use) 5. Google docs/calendars – Great way to share a family calendar or pic or monthly budget
I currently have hotmail, Lycos, yahoo and a couple others I don’t recall from years past. I don’t recall the last time I logged into those other accounts.
Plus, if you join gmail, you’ll be cool like Bk and I.
Steve Hix just had a post on this the other day…although his password wouldn’t let him in.
X-2
Glad I changed
X 3 on the Gmail
I have heard way too many horror stories with hotmail, my neighbor use to have hotmail and had all kinds of problems with it until one day it crashed his computer and that was the last straw for him he went with Gmail after that and is very happy with it.
I keep a hotmail account just for stuff like craigslist and other stuff that I do not want to use my main email for. Gmail may be good but it is the most attacked and hacked email out there.
If you do not use Internet Explorer for hotmail it can act weird at times. Might want to try IE if your using FireFox, Chrome, or Opera for your browser.
