Here I thought it was gonna be a post about the world’s weakest trolling motor.

Nice mount! That’s a big one!

Viola Taxidermy. He is a trout specialist, but his walleyes and deer also rock. He is one of the best air brush boys I’ve ever seen. You can always tell when you look at someone’s show room if they are bad, good, great or the Best.

Nice fish and mount job. What did you catch it on?

I use a 8 wt flyrod. The fly I use is actually in the mouth of the fish. It is a sucker spawn patter that i tie with diamond braid. I was taught this pattern by the idaho fish and game steelhead specialist a long time ago. I tied some of these for Trout unlimited banquets for the last 10 years. Last year i started to notice them at gander mountain called crystal meth. Im not suprised. this is how the fishing lure industry goes. Steal an idea, tweek it a bit and make it your own.

Heck of a nice fish! I think Gander could come up with a better name for your fly pattern though…

“you think they could have come up with a better name.”

Isn’t the WI inland state record only 12 pounds?

That is what we used to call a “purple hen”.Or should be a doe, seeing that males are called”bucks”?We called them “Roosters”(male steelhead).
