Hi, I’m new to indepth angling, I’m a friend of Fishing Machine, at least I hope I am. Anyway she was telling me all about the site and it really sounded good so here I am. I went scouting yesterday there were three boats below Lynxville but there was so much trash in the water they were fishing way below the dam. There was one boat out at Victory and then I went to BlackHawk Park just to see if anybody was still on the ice. Ran into this poor guy that had fallen on the ice, he was the only one out, I helped him and escorted him to the clinic he may have had a slight concussion. By then the snow was blizzard conditions, all because I got my boat ready to go I guess. Not much of a report but there you go.

Good for you Gonefishing!! I’d say it was pretty luck for that guy to have run into you. Welcome to the site!

Good work bud. Falls like that can be nasty when the noggin is involved. I had a similar situation as a teenager. I ran across a friend, a 50 something woman, in a parking lot. It was very icy that day and extremely cold. When I approached her and said hello she gave me a funny look and then said hi back. Something about her just didn’t seem right and I stopped and asked her if she was OK. She said she was fine but again something just didn’t seem quite right. It was at that time that I noticed she has snow on the back of her coat. I asked her if she had fallen. She said nope. And then she asked me if she knew me! Woah. Long story a little shorter, she had taken a super bad fall and suffered a horrible concussion and had been wandering around the parking lot. She appeared normal at a glance but she suffered some short term memory loss and literally had no idea what had happened, where she was or where she was going.

It was very good that you were where you were!

Herb, I haven’t been able to figure out how to add any to my bio. We’ll figure this site out eventually. i scouted a little again today but was busy repairing tree stands for next year. When it got up to 50 degrees i wished I had gone fishing. There were no people on the ice at Green Lake but they were out on the Conway, personnaly I’m done on the ice for this year , and there were several boats out at Blackhawk Park not sure where they were fishing and didn’t get to talk to anybody.I may get out tomorrow morning but river looks awful brown.
