Very cool pics. In some of those shots you wonder how the photographer made it out alive.

    Thanks for sharing Jerr!

    Thanks for posting jerr.

It’s kind of ironic that this got posted, I’m in the process of reading books and researching my grandfathers WWII experiences. He was in the 2nd Marines and fought on Tarawa, Guadacanal, and was wounded on Siapan. Those guys went through hell. My hats off to anyone and everyone that has served or is serving in our military.

    Thank You!!!!

Very cool. My wife’s father was on the Missouri during the surrender. Thank you for posting.

I’ve also been talking with my Grandpa about the war. He is 93 years old and was in the Army for six years. He served in North Africa, Germany, Italy, and France. The stories he tells are amazing. Sadly this generation is few and far between these days. Thanks to all our Armed Forces.

Once in a while I have stuff sent to me that I think is worth sharing- -I hesitated posting those thinking that some guys might not care to be reminded of “way back when”. If some are bothered by the memories, I apologize, to those of you that enjoyed seeing them, you’re welcome- jerr

Awesome, just spent an hour studying those images.

I couldn’t imagine living through that hell.

That was a great email, Jerr. I looked thru those pics and was surprised at how many there were. And how they were not altered or censored. When you see a dude blasted dead in his ride, you know it’s real. Great stuff–
