Anyone have any experience with cell phone boosters for your home? I am referring to the type that is powered and has an outside antenna. I have been looking around and they seem to fall in the price of $300-$500 and before I pull the trigger I was hopping to find some feed back on …. do they work? How well they work? Are they worth the money? Which brand?

    Thanks!

first who is your current Cell Phone provider?

My wife has sprint and our service absolutely stunk at our house. We called sprint and told them that we want out of our contract because we couldn’t use our phone in our house because it would keep dropping calls or not even received calls. After a little passing along the bunk internally (I need to talk with my supervisor, etc…) they sent us a air Rave booster which boost the single in our house. They started telling us it was going to cost $5-10 per month and we complaing and then they lent it to us free. We have had this unit since last year and our service is 100% in the house now. It works pretty slick and its the size of a router.

I imagine other providers have these too.

Try JDTeck.com. I have installed two of there Repeater Kits in a couple of buildings here at work and they work very well. You will need a Repeater Kit, not a Booster Kit. Booster connect directly to one device, where Repeaters will serve many devices at the same time.
