Who let this go in my house? I’m just kidding my 5 year old brought this home as a new pet kind of cool!! I was wondering if Bk would come over and hold it for me when the time comes to clean its cage.

Wait till you come home someday and can’t find it.

Nothing more interesting than searching the home for a lost snake!

When reaching into that dark warm crevice he hides in, you will normaly find him teeth first.

Make sure to keep a warm cage or they get sick real easy.

So would Michelle. For me, I’d probably just get bored having one. But as a 5 year old I would probably have liked having one for a pet.

Every time I see a snake posted as a pet I remember the girl in Hastings that was to “care” for a constrictor over the summer.

Apparently she had it in bed with her and the chicken feathers in her pillow got the snake a little hungry. Don’t recall if the snake lived to make it to school the following fall after the police and fire depts where called.

Now all you need is an alter and goat head.Snakes are gateway pets, kill it now while you have the chance.

Not a chance of living in my house. I’d need to find someone brave enough get rid of it. Why a snake?

The fun is watching how fast they grab that live mouse or rat as they get bigger and throw a couple wraps around it to squeeze. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.

Agreed, had a snake for a while about 8 years ago. It was “cool” at first, but in reality it just got boring.

But they don’t feed that often, do they?

Feeding time is pretty cool. I was at a nature center once when they tossed live mice in with some snakes. It was then that I found out that there are constrictors in Minnesota. I believe it was a fox snake? Don’t quote me.

That is a ball python. I used to have one as a pet when I was in college. They are like houdini. Mine escaped quite a few times. I had to tell the gals that moved into my apartment to watch out for a snake and not to kill it. Turns out when I moved the snake was in my couch and I found it in the new place. They are docile unless you are a mouse or a rat. Mine never bit anyone in 7 years. Cool pet if you can’t have a dog. They only get to be 4-5 feet long. If you don’t have one already you will need a secure cage with a plugin heat rock. They also like a place to hide like a cement brick or something they can rub against when they shed. One time when mine was missing a different time someone came and told me the found a snake. I hadn’t seen him in while and when they came back they had a burmese python that was near 10 feet long. I baby sat that critter for a couple days and returned it to the owner who put out an ad in the paper looking for it. The cops were glad to hear it wasn’t eating babies or dogs.

Exactly. I mean, what do you do with a snake? They don’t fetch or anything!

They do play hide and seek really well. Mine would sit on shoulder and watch tv.

This is actually my second one i have had in my house. It is a ball python, and as far as feeding right now it eats a small mouse once a week. When bigger it will move up to large rats a couple times a month. We can have dogs or cats he wanted a guinea pig, and i told him go with the snake then later the pig to feed to it.
