A couple of nice guys…

Unloaded the boat at Evert’s today to replace the bunks on the trailer. The carpet was worn and I even had one bunk that was cracked. So I decided today was the day.
Let me tell you that I have the carpentry skills of a 6 year old, but I can usually get it done. (on the 2nd try.)
Long story short, two young fellas, Jason and Josh, who were having boat troubles of their own, asked if I could use some help. Heck Yeah! So we got at it.
Turns out, Jason was a carpet and upholstery whiz (by trade)
and really new his stuff. We got ‘er done and I took them fishing since their boat was out of commission. No fish, but a couple of nice guys to spend time on the water with.
Jason is in the National Guard and deploying to the Middle East in May. I wish him only the best and thank him for his service to our country.
Thanks Guys !! Without you I would’ve been there for 2 days!!( Hope I got their names right. It’s hell getting old.)

Thanks for sharing…I have found this to be a common thread in much of the fishing community, and especially in the years I have been with the IDO crew!

They obviously didn’t know you take 2 week old donuts to Dean.

Thanks for sharing Wayne, it’s good to hear the good stuff once in a while!

Atta boy WKW ! At least 2 different boaters this week had mechanical issues and they ended up still fishing that day with volunteers offering a open seat to them.
