    Guys

I’m looking for a hard to find part for my snowmobile trailer. I need to find the name for the long and narrow “track” the holds the threaded metal insert that can be slid along inside the track. The threaded hand crank goes into the threaded insert in the track…. any of this sound familiar to the sledders out there?

Thanks in advance. Believe it or not… this is for a boat mod.

Thanks for the point in the right direction, guys. What I really need is a photo of the part. I need to send it to an engineer to help explain a hair brained idea I have for boat seating.

I’ve been the inspiration for many inventions that are used in our everyday lives.

The most well known…the straight jacket.

    Couldn’t you use Unistrut?

James i think what your looking for is a Snowmobile Trailer Ski Tie Down Basket, or Tie down slide block. i can’t find a picture of the slide block, but here is a permanent tie down basket.

    this what your looking for?

I would check with the guys from Karavan. You can go to their website and contact them. Very nice folks, they helped me out on more than a few occasions. My sled/wheeler trailer is a Karavan and has the slots you speak of.
